International Snowplow Championship
Wednesday, February 10, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Baie de Beauport
The very first International Snowplow Championship was held at the Baie de Beauport site, on the shore of the St. Lawrence, only 4 km from the Québec City Convention Centre.
This world first was held the afternoon of Wednesday, February 10, alongside the technical visits offered to the delegates. Depending on their schedule, the delegates had the opportunity to attend the championship before or after their technical visit.
Twenty snowplow operators from three continents (North America, Europe and Asia) competed.

The drivers had to conduct careful manœuvres on a specially-equipped obstacle course. They also underwent a mechanical inspection component, adapted to the standards in effect in the different countries represented.

This International Snowplow Champtionship was not only an opportunity to determine the world champion, but also to share and promote the role of snowplow drivers in winter road service.
