The official opening of the exhibition was Monday, February 8, right after the opening ceremony of the Congress. Eleven of the national committees took this opportunity to inaugurate their national pavillion: Andorra, Canada, Korea, Spain, the United States, France, Italy, Japan, the Nordic countries, Québec, and Switzerland.

In total, nearly 500 people from 175 businesses and organizations in the Americas, Europe and Asia attended to explain their expertise, including the technologies they are developing and the machinery parts they manufacture or distribute. A vehicle demonstration area exhibited equipment from a number of businesses and organizations.
